Henrietta’s Slow Cooker Sauce and Sloppy Joe Mix

~WAYS TO USE~

 

HENRIETTA’S PULLED PORK or PULLED CHICKEN TACOS

Recipe by Chef Teresa at Hy-Vee Oakdale

 
Use a 4-5lbs roast or a whole chicken, place in crockpot with Henrietta’s Slow Cooker Sauce.
Cook on hi for 6 hours.

ADDED INGREDIENTS
Corn tortillas,
*Cranberry coleslaw
Orange

PREPARATION
*Heat corn tortilla
*Add Henrietta’s pulled pork/chicken
*Add cranberry coleslaw
*Squeeze orange on top
 

HENRIETTA’S PULLED PORK or PULLED CHICKEN HASH

Use a 4-5lbs roast or a whole chicken, place in crockpot with Henrietta’s Slow Cooker Sauce.
Cook on hi for 6 hours, shred meat.

ADDED INGREDIENTS
Potatoes
Diced onion
Olive Oil
Rosemary
Garlic Salt
Black Pepper
Egg
Sliced Avacado
Sriracha sauce (optional)

PREPARATION
*Brown potatoes in skillet with olive oil (one per person)
*Add diced onion (varies with amount of potatoes used)
*Add Rosemary, garlic salt and black pepper (varies with amount of potatoes used.)
*Stir every once in a while so your onions don’t burn, and so all the potatoes get nice and crispy.
*In another skillet fry egg over easy
Arrange potatoes on plate, add Henrietta’s pulled pork/chicken, fried egg and avacado on top. If you like a little spice, add sriracha sauce.
 

HENRIETTA’S MEATBALLS

Recipe by Henrietta’s Customer
 

Marinate 2 lbs of at least 80/20 ground meat overnight in 12 oz. of Henrietta’s Slow Cooker Sauce.

ADDED INGREDIENTS
1 cup of bread crumbs
2 eggs

PREPARATION
*After marinating overnight
*In a large bowl mix meat, bread crumbs and egg
*Roll meatballs
*Cook meatballs in pan before placing them in the crock pot, otherwise they will fall apart
*Place in crockpot
*Add remainder of Henrietta’s Slow Cooker Sauce
*Cook on Lo for 6 hours
 
 

HENRIETTA’S SLOPPY JOE HASH

INGREDIENTS
1-32 oz Hash brown Potatoes (Thawed)
1-Egg
1-can cheddar cheese soup
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
1.5 lbs ground meat
1 16oz jar of Henrietta’s Sloppy Joe Mix
Mozzarella cheese (to taste)
 
PREPARATION
*Preheat oven to 375
*Brown meat
*Drain grease and add Henrietta’s Sloppy Joe Mix (Set aside)
*Mix hash browns with egg and cheddar soup
*Add salt and pepper to taste
*Bake hash brown mixture @ 375 for 20 minutes
*Top with Henrietta’s Sloppy Joes and Mozzarella cheese
*Bake @ 375 for 20 minutes.
 

HENRIETTA’S SLOPPY JOE QUESADILLAS

In a large skillet brown 1.5lbs of ground meat, drain grease, add Henrietta’s Sloppy Joe Mix and simmer.

ADDED INGREDIENTS
Flour or corn tortillas
Pepper jack Cheese
Sour Cream
Minced Chives


PREPARATION

*Add a tortilla to a greased skillet on low heat.
*Top with pepper jack cheese, and Henrietta’s Sloppy Joes
*Cover with another tortilla.
*Cook for a few minutes before turning.
*Make sure cheese is fully melted and tortilla is crisp and cooked.
*Top with Sour Cream and chives
 

HENRIETTA’S SLOPPY JOE MAC & CHEESE

In a large skillet, brown 1.5lbs of ground meat, drain grease and add Henrietta’s Sloppy Joe Mix and simmer.

ADDED INGREDIENTS
1 16 oz. box of Elbow Pasta
11/2 Cup of shredded Mozzarella Cheese

PREPARATION
*Bring pot of water to a boil. Season with salt or add a table spoon of olive oil.
*Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.
*Drain pasta and add to skillet of sloppy joes over low heat.
*Stir in 1 cup of cheese, quickly toss together to evenly coat the pasta.
*Top with remaining cheese and cover with lid to melt cheese.

CHICKEN CHILI RECIPE (MUSCLE CAR CHILI)

INGREDIENTS
Henrietta’s Slow Cooker Tangy Sauce (12 oz) ½ of 24 oz jar
Mrs. Grimes Spicy Hot Chili Beans in Chili Sauce (15 oz)
Bush’s Best Chili Beans Kidney Beans in Mild Chili Sauce (16 oz)
Mrs. Grimes Original Chili Beans in Chili Sauce ( 1lb 14 oz)
Hy Vee Diced Tomatoes & Chipotle Peppers (10 oz)
Rotel Chili Fixins Seasoned Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilis (10 oz)
Hy Vee Petite Cut Diced Tomatoes (14.5 oz)
Hy Vee Chili Seasoning (1 oz)
Watkins Garlic Powder (sprinkle in to taste)
Hy Vee California Onion Chopped (sprinkle in to taste)
Hy Vee Shredded Rotisserie Chicken (2 trays or approximately 2 lbs)

PREPARATION
*COMBINE INGREDIENTS (ALL EXCEPT CHICKEN) AND COOK IN SLOW COOKER ON LOW FOR 3 HOURS.
*Add chicken and cook on low for 2 additional hours, stirring occasionally.
 

MEATLOAF

Recipe by Henrietta’s customer, Christopher Gauldin

 
INGREDIENTS
½ cup of Henrietta’s Sloppy Joe Mix
1lb ground beef
1lb veal
1lb ground pork
1lb chorizo sausage
1 bag finely crushed blue corn tortilla chips
8 eggs lightly beaten
2 large red onions
1 small can chipotle peppers finely chopped
1 small can green chiles
1 can diced tomatoes
¼ cup finely chopped cilantro
Tbls cumin
Tsp salt
Tsp cayenne pepper
4 cloves finely chopped garlic

PREPARATION
*Heat oven to 400°F.
*In large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well.
*Press mixture firmly in ungreased loaf pan.
*Bake approximately 1 ½ hours.
